Line and Stacked area chart

Hello All,

Can anyone help me with creating combined line and stacked area chart. I came to know that there is no any default visual to accomplish this. Is there any alternate way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

you should try to off show for this series.

Hey @KRISHP1234  Thank you for looking into this. Actually I have multiple values and require to stack them as area chart and have separate value to show as line which should'nt stack in earlier one.

Hi @VamsiP123 ,

I don't know how many staked values you want to have but you can create one cumulative measure for each of the cumulative values and use a standard area chart and then you can add the other measures and for those remove the shaded area:

Top one is the stacked area chart bottom one is the area chart, yo also need to do a custom tooltip probably to have the values separated.

Pbix file attach.

Hi @VamsiP123 ,

You can try to do this using the Area chart that allows to have values on secondary axis and also to change the background for each line individually.

Can you share what is the expected outcome please.

Hello @MFelix  Thank you for looking into this. I have tried this one but the value's are not stacking up. They are just showing like line chart with shaded on.

Hi @VamsiP123 ,

Be aware that you need to do different measures for the different levels to simulate the stack.

Cat A = Cat A values

Cat B = Cat B values + CAT A values

and so on.
