Isafter THISMONTH

In my calendar table I have an "IsAfterToday" column that returns true and false correctly, but I would also like to do one for "IsAfterThisMonth" to return anything prior to this monthyear (ie. Mar22 and before). My IsAfterToday is 

IsAfterToday = isafter('Calendar'[Date],TODAY()) which is simple enough, but what I've tried for the month isn't working and is labeling things from earlier this year as TRUE for some reason.

IsAfterThisMonth = isafter('Calendar'[Date],('Calendar'[MonthYear]))

IsAfterThisMonth = if([Date] > eomonth(Today() ,1) , true(), false() )
