Is there a way to drill down on a table (not a matrix) that has only rows ?

It's not possible to sort the way I want to in a matrix. To drill down to what I need, I have to put a count value in, right click on the count, and click "See Records."

What I want to do instead is have a table with only rows so that my sorting stays right. But there's one field I don't want to bring in, but I want the user for any given record to be able to drill down to see this field. basically, it's a notes field but there can be many notes for any given record and I don't want to bring that field in because it will cause the records to repeat where there is more than one. What is the best way to do this?

You could use a drill-through filter and a have a page that takes them to another sheet with the notes.  Or you could create a tooltip page that has the notes on it.

Drill-through: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-drillthrough

Tooltip: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-tooltips

Unfortunately, it appears non-matrix table visualization does not support tooltips. I added a tooltip but it never showed up under my visualization formatting tab, so I guess it's not allowed. But tooltips look cool. The other link you provide didn't work, but I will continue to try to figure this out. Thanks. Capture766767.JPGmy visualization even though it does show up on the Capture999.JPGCapture656.JPG
