Is it necessary to re-install Power BI Desktop every time there is a new update available?

So far it's require when you want to update new version of PBI Desktop. But the automatically update is under review idea as https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/10399626-power-bi-desktop-auto-up..., you could support or follow by voting for it.
