Imported PDF file formatting

I have data in a column I’m my PDF file that looks like this $12.00 - $14.00

When I import the pdf the column gets separated for some of the cells and places the values in two separate columns.

how do I either separate them completely or some how merge them together.  Both options would be desirable just as a learning opportunity for me.

Thank you Phil this was a great help.  I also figured out the split column using a delimiter to separate the data in this as well.  I really appreciate your assistance look forward to asking you many more questions LOL.  I have one regarding the map visualization and the count of people by Zip Code.  I'll have to post it and Tag you if your available
