How to pass parameter to source using Redshift connector

Hi All,

I am looking for a solution to be able to pass parameters to the source (amazon redshift) using the power bi native redshift connector. The requirement is to import a subset of data instead of the entire data from a fact table (having more than 1 gb compressed data which is beyond the limitation of a Power BI dataset with a pro license).

The same can be acheived using the ODBC connector (tested, works as expected) - however would like to use the redshift connector as it has a significant edge in terms of performance over ODBC.

(Please excuse me for the paint work!)

Is there any way to do it or it is a limitation of the connector? Please can anyone help??

Regards,

Rishi

It is currently a connector limitation. Not familiar with Redshift - does it support the concept of views? Could you do the filtering there?
