How to group by dates in PowerBI?

Hi all,

I am wondering how to use PowerBI to group the dates? I am looking to show a weekly dashboard.

This is the original data

Based on that, I want to PowerBI to automatically create a column next to my data that looks like this:

Grouping by Dates end result.JPG

This shows that between specific dates, I can catogorise them as 'week 1', 'week 2' etc. I want to be able to do that quickly and find a way to automate the process instead of going through the data and manually labelling them with respective weeks.

Thanks!

Ashley

@Anonymous week 1 and week 2 etc.. are these year week number, if yes, you can use weeknum function to create this column

Hi,

What if the week does not correspond to calendar week?
