How to achieve functionality of Drill through without using drill through area in Power BI?

Hi,

I recently got a requirement for one of the reports which i have developed for some of the teams . This report have multiple report pages ( 5 tabs ) and there are lot of charts/tables in each page. For some reason, they do not like to drill through(right click) on a chart in first tab and see associated details of it in second tab by using Drill through .However, they want the drill through option to work in a different way ,that is by using Buttons or any other way if it is available . They want it to be done by a single click on a chart and then a single click on a button to move to different tab.

Is there a way to acheive this ? Please assist .

Venks

@Anonymous not sure if it is possible.

Only way is to create slicers on main page and sync those slicer across all the pages and then use bookmarks to jump to respective page. In this case it will be same issue, first they have to select a value in the slicer on which they want to drill thru and click a button, it is never going to a single click. For drill thru, you have to somehow pass column/value on which you want to drill on.

Would appreciate Kudos 🙂 if my solution helped.
