Hi Team,
I have created the reprot connection as Import and devloped a new report. Now i want to change my connection from Import to direct query because of live data present in the report when cds data changes. I have tried in modelling tab for changing the connection method, it is not helping. Please help me on this scenario.

Hi, you can't do that. Sadly once the source is import you won't be able to chage it. The only change is from Direct Query to Import. As a workaround try to re use the most. Duplicate the file, delete all the sources in the Transform Data menu and get data again with direct query to check if visualizations will keep working.
Regards,
Happy to help!
Hi @ibarrau ,
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried the option. But when i tried to get data it is not showing to choose the connection mode and it is directly entering into the import mode. Even i have tried multiple times it is showing the import mode only. May i know why i am not able to select that option where i am able to see that option in initial time.
What kind of data source do you get data from?
I have a test by SQL Sever, it works well.
I get data (table named School) by import connection mode.
Then I get data source in Power Query again by Direct Query (Table named School(2)).
Delect School and rename School(2) as School.
The visual works well and show connection mode in Direct Query.

Hi @v-rzhou-msft ,
Thanks for your reply.
This is not a recommended method for production environment.
I have a workaround this by using power flows.
