How can I transfer or duplicate content from one Power BI file to another

How can I transfer or duplicate content from one Power BI file to another, similar to the actions performed in Excel when moving or copying data between spreadsheets? instead of copying past each chart in the report?

Hi @SaadNaser ,

Unfortunately, Power BI Desktop does not support copying entire pages between files directly.

You can post your idea to Ideas .

https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

You can use the following method instead, taking care to ensure that the data source is the same for both pbix files.
Create a new page page in file A. In file B, hold down the [ctrl] key to select all the visual objects on that page one by one, then right-click copy-copy the visual objects, and then go back to the new page in file A and paste all the visual objects.

If you want to reuse a report layout with different data, you can create a Power BI template file (.pbit).

Hi @SaadNaser

Can you please describe which information or data you want to move?
Visual or Power Query Table.

Simply create a Duplicate Pbix file and remove which information or table or visual not needed for new file.

If solved your requirement, please mark this answer as SOLUTION.
If this comment helps you, appreciate your KUDOS
