How can I get a filetred table view for a column .
I need the visual /Table to be blank until i click another visual. Oncce i do so I want to see a filtered view in this table.
I tried creating a measure -
QuestionSelectCheck = IF(HASONEFILTER(Risks[Risks] )|| HASONEFILTER(Risks[Apex Pillar])|| HASONEFILTER(Risks[Account Balance or Class of Transaction or Disclosure]),"1","2")
and placing this in the visual filter for the table and setting this to 1 but it doesnt work - I always see all the data as the initial view.
Can someone help me with this - its like creating action filters in tableau to have a blank view initially and only a filtered view other wise so we don't have to view a table that could be too wordy!!
Thanks,
Monisha
Hi There,
I would like to build a table which is always blank and shows a filtered view only with other visual like bar charts are filtered or selected on .
So essentially how tableau has action filters which leave the visual blank and the visual is only populated with the other graphs are touched.
I tried this :
QuestionSelectCheck = IF(HASONEFILTER(Risks[Risks] )|| HASONEFILTER(Risks[Apex Pillar])|| HASONEFILTER(Risks[Account Balance or Class of Transaction or Disclosure]),"1","2")
and this
Using Cross Filter: =
IF (
ISCROSSFILTERED(Risks[Apex Pillar]) ,
"Y","N")
but none of them worked .
PLEASE HELP URGENTLY !!!!
Hi
Did you chek ISFILTERED() function?
Thanks
Raj
This shoul work
QuestionSelectCheck = IF(HASONEFILTER(Risks[Risks] )|| HASONEFILTER(Risks[Apex Pillar])|| HASONEFILTER(Risks[Account Balance or Class of Transaction or Disclosure]),1,2)
This put this "QuestionSelectCheck" as visual level filter for your table and select where value = 1

Hi @motyagi,
If I understand your requiement correctly that you want the visual to be blank until you click another visual?
If it is, you could put this measure to this visual. By my test with your measure, it will work when you put this measure in a table.
If you need additional help, please a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
