Hi,
I'm trying to make a stacked bar to show total costs each month with a legend for catagory. I have two different tables the costs are coming from. The catatgories, costs and months are in the same format in each tbale but they also have unique collumns not relevent to each other so I'd like to keep them generally seperate. I'd just like a graph that agregates them both here.
I can only have one field on the Y axis for the graph (so can be either but not both cost fields). Is there a way to total both without making a whole new table with both sets of data?
Thanks

Hi @Isambard ,
According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.
(1) This is my test data.
(2) We can create a measure.
Measure =
SUM ( 'Table 1'[costs] )
+ CALCULATE (
SUM ( 'Table 2'[costs] ),
FILTER (
ALL ( 'Table 2' ),
'Table 2'[catatgories] = MAX ( 'Table 1'[catatgories] )
&& 'Table 2'[months] = MAX ( 'Table 1'[months] )
)
)
(3) Place the fields as shown below and then the result is as follows.
If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.
