Hi all,
I have a dymanic dataset that i cant refresh on Power Bi services.
To go around it, i would like to use Power automate to:
Step 1: resfresh the dataset on my desktop,
Step 2: publish a new version of the report afer each refresh.
Any idea how to complete step 2 please ?
Thanks
JL
Hi all,
I need to check this option with our IT department as i can't do it by myself. Thanks
Hey, @jeanlouisdubois
Typically, if the data source in a dataset is an on-premises data source, we can choose the personal gateway(only supports Import connection mode) or Enterprise Gateway(Import connection mode, Direct Query, and LiveConnect) to update the data.
In addition, we can also store pbix files on OneDrive and import them into the Power BI service, in this case, you don't need to configure Gateway and the dataset will automatically update approximately every hour. This update policy called OneDrive Update. This way, you can update the dataset on your desktop, and then replace the pbix file on OneDrive.
Best regards
