Forum does not allow me to sign in to see notifications password reset and no joy

Login window appears to see notification but the user id and password for the forum does not work.  Login good, password was reset and no joy.  Tell me the secret.....?

Actually for some unknown reason i am able to see this without the login window appearing.  So the problem appears to have fixed itself.

No the problem is not fixed.  If i click on the notification badge or notifications and go to the issue i have on the forum about microsoft.powerbi.oledb not registered, i get a login window.  I should not be getting such a window, and the window never accepts proper login credentials.  its a bug.  Apparently i can hack it by being logged in and clicking on the email link.
