Filled Map Stop Auto Refresh after publishing

Hi - When I publish a Power Bi Filled Map it takes forever for the web version to map the data. using 3200 locations.  Is there any way to publish the report without auto refresh when opening on the web?  I'd like for it to retain the data being published and not update when the user opens the file on the web.

Hi @jimrosser

After publishing to the Service, when the user open the report for the first time, the report need to get data from data source,so it will refresh for the first time, this cannot be changed, if you want to keep the data after opening the report for the first time, you can consider to change the connection mode to import, it can set the schedule refresh, you can choose not to set the schedule refresh so that the data will not refresh unless you refresh the report manally, you can refer to the following link.

Configure scheduled refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Semantic model modes in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
