Hi,
I have Heacount data in a table where in the column header different Line-of-Business (LOB) are listed and in rows their month wise headcount data is updated as displayed in below table. Here each LOB is either related to a Consumer Segment or Non-Consumer Segment. I'm using stacked chart to display the statistics in Power BI. Now the requirement is to filter the LOBs based on segment. I cannot make that as I can't create relationship to map LOBs with Segment to filter based on Segment. Please note that in my table I have monthly data since 2016 onwards. Please suggest the solution to achieve it.
Month | LOB-1 | LOB-2 | LOB-3 | LOB-4 | LOB-5 | LOB-6 | LOB-7 |
01/01/2023 | 40 | 40 | 66 | 34 | 53 | 33 | 88 |
01/02/2023 | 34 | 44 | 53 | 39 | 59 | 36 | 79 |
01/03/2023 | 40 | 40 | 66 | 34 | 53 | 33 | 88 |
01/04/2023 | 34 | 44 | 53 | 39 | 59 | 36 | 79 |
LOB | SEGMENT |
LOB-1 | Consumer |
LOB-2 | Non-Consumer |
LOB-3 | Consumer |
LOB-4 | Consumer |
LOB-5 | Non-Consumer |
LOB-6 | Consumer |
LOB-7 | Consumer |

You need to be able to establish a relationship between your date dimension and your fact table. Without the relationship, Power BI has no way of understanding (accurately) how the data tables relate. You should model your fact table to have a DateKey
