I made below report as matrix and shared with the user. The user wants to extract the report as it is but when I click export data it comes as table with 4 columns as-code, colour, size, numbers and not in this view as a matrix. How can this be extracted?
The user will either need to use the report in the powerbi service or extract the data and rebuild it in a pivot table or, if you have enabled it, they can use analyze in excel to connect to the data model. They can build a view that links to the model so when the model is refreshed they can just refresh their view.

The report cannot be extracted as is (in a matrix visual). They can use the data that comes out to rebuild the visual in a pivot table though since that is all a matrix is. One caveat to this is if you have a non-additive measure (something like distinct count), the totals on the pivot table will be wrong, they will be to high.
@jdbuchanan71 Till now the user was doing mannual analysis daily with downloading a report and using pivot table. But, to make the user's process automated, I built this report. What is the work around if the user wants this view?
Hi @learner03 ,
Does user need to rebuild the report or just use the matrix visual? Will export to PDF or PPT a good option?
