Export to Excel and PowerPoint - Roadmap Enhancements ?

Hi all,

Currently, Power BI allows a visual’s raw data to be exported to a CSV file. My customer would like to be able to export a visual to Excel format, with formatting and charts preserved. Does anyone know if this is on Microsoft’s roadmap ?

Similarly, the Power BI Azure service can export a visual to PowerPoint as a static image file. My customer would like to export a visual with its interactivity and underlying data to PowerPoint. Does anybody know if that on Microsoft’s roadmap ?

Thanks,

mjones24.

When exporting data into Excel, you can only do it on Power BI Service. And it's not possible to keep same formating and charts.

When exporting data into Power Point, we can only get in image since we don't sign in Power BI within Power Point. It can never interact with visuals.

For both feature requests, they are not on roadmap. I don't think these features will be added. Because you always need to sign in Power BI within Excel/PowerPoint so that we can keep the same visual and interact with it. Currently, we already have Power BI Tiles add-in in Office Store. It can have you sign in Power BI and include dashboard/report within the tile.
