Error interaction between bar chart and power bi slicer

Hi everyone.

The report has one Category1 slice and there is a Bar chart. Bar chart has two levels of grouping by Category1 and Category2, in the x axis - the sum of the Values column, the grouping is expanded.

In the source data there is a Category1 - four, in the Values column - empty.

The problem is that when you select any values other than four in the slice, the bar chart is normally filtered, but when you select four, the bar chart is not updated.

What can be done to make filtering work normally when choosing four in a slice?

Hi @EvgenyIn ,

@MFelix Thanks for your concern about this case!
After my test, I may know why when you select four, the bar chart is not updated.
Here is my test result:
If I don't check this option:

vjunyantmsft_2-1712816140837.png

The bar chart is indeed not updated.

After I check this option:

The bar chart is updated.

Hello!
Thank you for participating!

When the "show elements without data" option was enabled, everything began to be filtered correctly.

Thank you!

Hi @EvgenyIn ,

I have made a sample file with the setup you refer and everything is working properly, if the category1 is coming from the same table it should have no reason for not filtering the bar chart.

Can you please share a mockup data or sample of your PBIX file. You can use a onedrive, google drive, we transfer or similar link to upload your files.

If the information is sensitive please share it trough private message.

Regards

Miguel Félix
