Dynamic string visual based on slicer selection

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with a DAX measure that does not behave as I am expecting. I want to highlight the current month users are reporting for, but it seems that "LASTROWNONBLANK" does not work for that. It might be due to the fact that the column is of a string type, because if I use the number of the month (7 = July), it works fine. Does anyone know the rootcause of this problem or can suggest an alternative measure?

Try Sorting Text column (month name) by Month Number and hope this problem may be sorted

I already have that setting, unfortunately it doesn't generate the desired outcome but I solved it by using IF statements. Thanks!
