Drillthrough "used as category" vs "summarized"?

I was not able to locate a clear description in the documentation of the difference between using a field in a drillthrough with the setting "Used as category" vs "summarized".

Can someone please help me understand the difference between the two?

For example, here If we allow drillthrough when use as categroy for Operation column. And in the visual, we sum it up. Then cannot do drillthrough ation in this sceanrio.
