Hello Datanauts!
I'm having a problem with some datetime values. Some of these values change it format (and values) I don't know why it happens. Then I can't use this datetime column to make a visual because datetime values does match correctly between columns.
Here you can download an image with the data, relationships and a visual.
Everything works fine when the datetime values are expressed like "1/6/2016 6:00:00 AM", but I don't know why some of these values (from the same column) change its format (and values) to "2016-10-22T19:59.9990000". (But, I'm only using o'clock hours in the data I'm getting from Excel), it seems Power BI is changing one minute from the datetime value in some rows. When this occurs, I can't display visuals.
Other things you may need to know:
- I'm getting all the data from an Excel file (values, not formulas).
- I'm only using o'clock hours in the data I'm getting from Excel.
- I create the Calendar table in the Query Editor.
- I have the same visual problem when I try to use the datetime column from the Table A in the "Axis" field of the visual.
I appreciate all your help to figurate out what's happening and how to correct this.
Hi @e17aguilar,
By my tests, I cannot reprouce your issue with my excel data source in Power BI.
If it is, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
Best Regards,
Cherry
