Date format different between Power Query and Power BI

Power Query shows 12/17/2018

Power BI shows Monday, December 17, 2018

 

Anyway to get Power BI to show the same?  It's making my matrix visualations not as clean as I would like

In Power BI Desktop, in either the Report or Data view, select the date field of interest, then select the modeling tab, then in the Formatting section, select the appropriate format
