Hello power people,
It's been a year having this issue for the date slicer,
I have transactions with a date starting from 2014 to today (2020).
I made a table called it "Date" table and it has dates starting from 2019 to today (2020).
and I made a relation between the date table and the transactions table using a date key string.
Then I used a slicer with the date field of "Date" table I created.
The issue is when I choose the first date with the last date of slicer (1/1/2019 to today), it does not filter and it does not affect the visuals on the page. all the older transactions of 2014 to today appears.
It only does filter when I choose different dates other than the first with last dates. (2/1/2019 to today or 1/1/2019 today - 1)
and the reason I do not filter out the older transactions from the "Edit Query" screen is because I use them for other balance calculations.
There is a workaround I did and it's that I made the starting date a day before 1/1/2019 (31/12/2018), but that does not please the clients.
Any solutions for this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Solved! Go to Solution.
Not sure what your are observing, but one quick fix might be to add a page-level filter in the Filters panel (locked, so users can't change it) on the column with the 2014 dates for >=1/1/2019.
If this works for you, please mark it as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.

Pat

Hi @I_NeedMorePower ,
Not certain what does your expected output look like. If you want to filter values in a specified date range, you can use 'filter on all pages' filter and set a date range.
Or you can consider some sample data and expected output for further discussion.
