Full disclosure lots going on here. I have built a dyamic legend using dynamic relationships. I have two measures responding to that legend variable. I have a bubble chart where X axis is a date heirarchy, y axis is a measure influenced by the legend slicer and size is a measure influenced by the legend slicer. In the pic below notice the date is not in order, 2023 Q1 and 2022 q2 are swapped. Any adjustmenst to sort has no response. the Date heirarchy is native, I did not define anything special. If I column graph the same content everthing works and stay in date order (pics 2 and 3). Sadly I cannot share the data as it is full of sensitive content; even below the names are changed to protect the identity LOL.
Any thoughts?
Hi @DanielDiAngelo ,
This is a common problem, you can try sort by column.

Certainly an option. But it fails at month as well. It is native date format so it seems like a workaround to a bug to manually sort. Until there's a fix, I will likely proceed with your suggestion. Thanks for the input.
Read about the DAX feature "Sort one column by another column" and then add a QuarterSort column to your calendar table that you then sort the quarter by.
It appears the issue is with the graphic, more research into scatter charts tells me that the x and y axes need to be measures. I tried a number of 3rd party scatter charts and they also had the issue. It's a shame because I think the display is pretty handy. I ended up only offering the users year. No qtr/month drilling. I think for this occasion it will be OK.
