Hi people,
I have two issues, but I suspect they are linked.
I have linked my file to an Access Table. This Table is sourced from an Excel File.
1/ Each time I am trying to refresh the PowerBI file, it automatically opens up the Excel File. It then says that this file is already open in exclusive mode by someone else.
2/ Therefore, I am unable to refresh my PowerBI file. I have a few error messages : such as exception from HResult: 0x80040E4E, DataFormat.Error.
Does someone have a clue ?
Thks in advance !

Hi @Noob78,
>>This Access database contains one table (my table) which is originally sourced from excel.
Did you link the excel file to access database and managed the data at excel side, right?(e.g: Creating Access Forms To Work with Excel Data)
If this is a case, I'd like to suggest you import data from excel and remove the connection between them, it may fix the issue.
Abou import data from excel , you can refer to below link:
Exchange (copy, import, export) data between Excel and Access

Have you test to use power bi direct get data from access database? Power bi already support to get data from access.

Hi,
Well thank you.
In fact: I have linked Power Bi to Access (a database which I do not own).
This Access database contains one table (my table) which is originally sourced from excel.
My problem is: although I linked PowerBi to Access, at each refreshing, the original excel file opens up!
Ain't it funny...?
