Hi,
Recently I needed to compare "moving" quarters (noit calendric), i.e: comparing March-May to December-February.
All my measures were built in the way of DATEADD(x, -1, QUARTER), and I was wondering if it's corrent for both calendric and moving Q or there are cases I should replace it with DATEADD(x, -3, MONTH)?
Is DATEADD(x, -3, MONTH) always the same as DATEADD(x, -1, QUARTER)?

Hi @Sasha
As far as I can tell from testing, those two expressions are interchangeable.
So for the purpose of DATEADD, a quarter is just shorthand for 3 months, and DATEADD doesn't apply any logic to do with aligning with quarters of a calendar year.
