Hi,
I've tried creating a custom column to concatenate 00 to the end of the number based on a condition.
It seems Power Query doesn't want to do this.
Is there a way to do this?
The specific code I'm using is below (problem bit in bold)
Table.AddColumn(#"Added Custom1", "NC v2", each if [CC] = "HO" then [NC] & 00 else [NC])
The error message is:
[Expression.Error] We cannot apply operator & to types Number and Number.
Thanks

Hi @smitpau
Based on what you provided, I conclude that the NC column is numeric.
For this reason, Power BI shows you the error that you cannot use the & character to connect two numbers.
In your case, the best solution is to multiply * 100 (instead of adding & and 00).
Try this:
Table.AddColumn(#"Added Custom1", "NC v2", each if [CC] = "HO" then [NC] * 100 else [NC])

If I helped, please accept the solution and give kudos! 😀
