I am trying to create a cumulative column from the Total and Index column in the table SalesByCustomer.

What is wrong in my formula?

Correct formula below

Cumulative Total =
SUMX (
    FILTER (
        SalesByCustomer,
        SalesByCustomer[Index] <= EARLIER ( SalesByCustomer[Index] )
    ),
    SalesByCustomer[Total]
)
