Create a budget model with a few variables

Hi,
Currently, I'm working on preparing my sales budget. (Sales QTY, Revenues, COGS)

I want to input my data to excel horizontally, however in Power BI, I want to display this data vertically.

The standard solution by unpivot columns wouldn't work, because I have:

  • 3 dimensions, that is Company Number, Product Groups and Months
  • 3 budget version - Start, Optimistic, Negative
  • 3 values - QTY, Revenues, COGS

Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi @pawelj795

How about first merging tables from 3 dimensions into 1 table then use "unpivot " to get the expected result you need?

Best Regards,
Kelly

@pawelj795 - Can you post a better representative example of your data? Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
