I have been told that I need to create a table dimension table. What I need to do is to create relationships to this table from ~10 other tables. The ~10 tables have various names for our locations. The Dimension table would hold the common name for the location that I want to present in a data visualization and therefore allow the data from the ~10 tables to be displayed in one visualizaton. How is this done? Any help is appreciated
Common Name | T1- Name | T2 - Name | T3 - Name | T4 - Name |
F1 | Fac1 | Facility1 | 1 - Fac | Fac - 1 |
F2 | Fac2 | Facility2 | 2 - Fac | Fac - 2 |
F3 | Fac3 | Facility3 | 3 - Fac | Fac - 3 |
F4 | Fac4 | Facility4 | 4 - Fac | Fac - 4 |
