Count not working when Axis is Date

If axis is any other field, counts work.  But when I use Week Ending from my Date table or Week Ending from a calculated field in my primary table, all counts are 1.   I've tried count and count distinct on various columns and it is always 1.   My Date Table alone works fine and shows Week Ending and there is a relationship between it and my primary table.

The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example. If possible please share a sample pbix file after removing sensitive information.
