Connect to ORACLE

Hi guys,

ORACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I   have found, read and actioned all the solutions I found on the forum to no avail. 

I still get this when selecting an oracle source

I have installed the new ODAC. But PBI doesnt seem to know that.

How do I set/tell PBI which ODAC to use?

Whats going on?

Can someone help pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssseeeeeeeeeee

Make sure you have the 64 bit version of the Oracle client installed. Verify this by opening the "ODBC Data Source Administrator (64-bit)). 

 

You need the appropriate version of the oracle driver in there. I.e. "Oracle in OraClient12Home1"

 

 

You can find it by searching the name in the start menu.

Hey, 

 

That's for SQL server, so it looks like you're missing your Oracle driver. I posted a screenshot I found online which was in English, as my machine is Dutch. But as you can see I've got the OraClient driver in my 64 bit drivers list.

Here is the instant client download page

 

Make sure to choose Instant Client for Windows x64 bit.

Do you have the full Oracle client installed?

I am using sql developer. This connects easy.

 

I will ask one of our oracle DBAs to  have a look

I got he oracle DBAs to install the full 32 and 64 bit client.

The ODBC divers look like this:

I did click OK, and entered credentils as usual.
