Hi,
I couldn't connect to database from PostgreSQL. It shows "ssl connection requested. No Ssl enabled connection from this host is configured."
However I can connect to the database using Tableau easily.
Hello
I've been working a lot with Power BI and PostreSQL, one thing you must know it's some security issues abouit PostgreSQL.
Your IP address must be in the pg_hba.conf configuration file in postgreSQL server where hosted.
You can check it out here http://blog.jsinh.in/how-to-enable-remote-access-to-postgresql-database-server/#.VvE_ieLhDcs
You must have installed monosecurity and npgsql dll's in the system , check here http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Configuring-Power-BI-Connectivity-to-PostgreSQL-Datab...
Anyway, any problem you can have, probably I've already been there cause it works!
Regards
Rodrigo
I have this problem quite consistently. I've installed postgresql on ubuntu with ssl = off (It's a dev environment and only has an IP address). That is the exact error message that comes back.
Is there a way to specify for that specific connection not to use SSL or TLS?
Are you using the latest version of Power BI Desktop? If not, can you download the latest version & try? If you are using the latest version, can you send us a frown including trace files?
Thanks
I'd probably check here https://community.tableau.com/community/forums
