I have 2 tables. Both record events. Each table has an ON date/time and an OFF date/time column along with a description of an event. Lets call these tableA and tableB respectively.
I'd like to make a new column in tableA. How can I take each tableA event and see if it falls within or overlaps any part of an event inside tableB. If it falls within the event I'd return a 0 to the new column, else I'd calculate the time it overlaps and add that as a number to the new column
These tables have no relation other than the ON and OFF columns are both Date/time formats.
Is this possible?
