Change source from Excel to PostgreSQL

Hello,

I have started creating a report using an Excel Source. We will start using the PostgreSQL as source.

Should I start a new report using the PostgreSQL as source or it's easy to change the source from Excel to PostgreSQL? My collegue from IT will create the connection, but I don't have any knowledge about PostgreSQL.

Will I be able to make this change easily?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Regards,

Carla

Generally yes, once you know the technique. Basically, you create a new source pointing to PostGres SQL. You go into Advanced Editor and copy the Source and possibly navigation lines. You go to your Excel query, open Advanced Editor and replace that line or lines with what you copied. You then fix any column name issues if there are any. That's the general technique.
