Hi All,
I need to be able to add a % of sales function.
My data is product line by line with sales amount associcated with that on the line.
This data also has a category i.e Stationary, Catering etc.
e.g.
Line - Code - Desc - Category - Sales
Line 1: 1324 - Coffee Beans - Catering - £250
Line 2: 1234 - Coffee Cups - Catering - £124
Line 3: 7413 - Pens - Stationery - £103
I need to be able to group these by % of sales e.g Total Sales = £1000.00, £350 of these sales are Catering = 35% of total sales.
Any ideas on the best way to do this?
Thanks in advanced -
Not entirely certain what you want but perhaps my Dynamic ABC Classification measure would work. https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Quick-Measures-Gallery/Dynamic-ABC-Classification/m-p/479146
Hi
Thanks for your reply. My explanation probably wasnt the best 😞
So, i have a list of products with the amount purchased and the sales amount and these products are classified into 3 groups, GOP, PAP & EOS. I basically want to see the % of sales of each so Total sales is £1000 of which 30% (based on the sales) was GOP etc.
In excel i would do a =IFERROR(SUM(SUMIF(category,"Gop",sales)/sales),0) and then set this as a % whoch would give me the % of sales matching GOP vs the Total Sales.
Hope this makes better sense?
