Cannot upload report to workspace from PBI desktop with a PRO TRIAL ACCOUNT

HI,

I have activated mi PRO TRIAL ACCOUNT and created a workspace "VTA", when i try to publish a report from PBI DESKTOP  to VTA i get the message "Only user with PRO licenses can publish to worksapce", but i have activated my 60 days Trial Pro License. When i use "my workspace" PBI Desktop can publish.

 

any idea what can i do?, i want to test workspaces.

Hi @CarlosQC ,

First, please try to clear the caches in Power BI desktop and Power BI service. Exit and log in them again, then try to re-publish the report.

  1. Clear cache in Power BI desktop (File –> Options –> Data Load –> Data Cache Management Options, click “Clear Cache” then click “OK”)

 2. Clear browser caches

 

 3. Close Power BI service pages and sign in it

 

 4. Exit Power BI desktop and restart it, then open the file to re-publish the report to related workspace in Power BI Service

 

   If the issue still persist on after completed the above operations, please contact your office admin to check whether your account license information has any problem in Office admin center.

  At the same time, please make sure that the special features of the pro license can be used in Power BI service (such as creating app workspace, sharing reports with other users etc.), and check whether any firewall or company's policies may affect publishing report…

How can i contact the office admin? @v-yiruan-msft 

@v-yiruan-msft It did not work (,  I tried to use the option "Revert to clasic workdspace" and i could publish my report, but i couldnt publish  using the deafult option "upgraded workspace".

Hi @CarlosQC

Could you please try to create another one new experience workspace and publish the report to this created workspace? You can consult your colleague or click "?“icon in top right corner of office page to get support about how to contact office admin.

 

You can upload the report to the workspace by "Get Data" option to upload PBIX file as an alternative method.

Hey @CarlosQC 

 

I may be wrong on this, but I'm not sure if you can post to any workspaces other the personal workspace while on the trial version.
