The problem is: every time I tried to add the weekdays or weeknum fields, even been a numbers fields (not text), the Forecast option disappears and i'm not able to use it properly.
For my chart i'm not using the normal Date Hierarchy power BI gives me automatically. Instead, In my Calendar table I created columns for weekdays and months so I had control to start the week on "monday" and to have a better visualization in my graphs.
Already tried creating my own Date Hierarchy to add my custom date columns but no success.
REALLY need to forecast by Weeknum and Weekday, Please Help
Judging by your description, the issue lies in your custom columns - in particular, this article (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-au/blog/introducing-new-forecasting-capabilities-in-power-view-for-...) states that forecasting will NOT work with text types such as weekday. But it will work with whole numbers. So what i can suggest is to use the number representation of your weekday(s) and use the text as either a tooltip, or you will need to write a custom measure for forecasting, which is discussed in this thread: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Create-a-weekly-forecast-chart/td-p/1353375
I already did that. The columns "Weekday Nº" and "Week Overall Nº" are the representations of Weekdays and WeekNum in numbers, but still, everytime I put these in my chart, the Forecast button disappears.
The only thing Power BI recognizes to Forecast is the pre set Date Hierarchy (Year/Quarter/Month/Day).
I already tried everything I know to have the forecast by weeknum and weekday and had no success at all.
