Hello community!
My knowledge of Power BI is very limited but I am trying to learn so I appreciate a lot your contributions in the forums and I would love to have your support for my request below:
My report is built among others by two tables:
- one has the sales per business unit and date (columns: Unit, Date, Sales)
- one has the business unit with the opening and closing date of the unit (columns: Unit, OpeningDate, Closing Date)
I have a time filter with two date references: BoP (Beginning of Period) & EoP (End of Period).
I would like to view current sales vs LY but conditioned to COMP or NEW, understanding:
COMP = totalize only sales of the units that were opened at least 1 year before the period referred in the time slicer and remained opened at least until the end of the period.
NEW = all the others
I don't know if I can create two measures COMP & NEW and use them as a slicer or if I need to create a calculated table with all the dates and COMP/NEW combinations. I would appreciate if you could guide me on the best possible way to do this, the more detailed answer, the better! 🙂
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,
Amaia
