Calculate Average Turnaround for >24 hours time format

Hello,

My sample raw data is in time format 37:30:55 and the source is from excel.

shantupm5_0-1682359996441.png

First of all, when i load this to Power BI, the same format wont come up in power bi.

And when i try to calculate the average time taken for month/waves as mentioned, i am unable to calcuate the actual numbers as the turn around time is >24 hours. I suppose PBI dont support the time format >24 Hours.

Any solution is highy appreciated.

Hi,

You're correct that Power BI doesn't support that time format, you can convert the time to seconds and do any calculations from that. See this post for work arounds:

@shantupm5 what is the data type of this column in Power BI? Is it time? If yes then you can simply do this:

Is More Than 24 hours = ( HOUR ( YouTable[Time Column] ) > 24 ) + 0

This will add a new column with 0 and 1 where 1 is hour > 24 and now you can easily do the average where this new column is 1. Also, it is not necessary to add this column, you can have the same logic in your measure.
