Hi,
I am having a SOR which gives 200+ columns from a single SQL View. Since its huge list and lot of scrolling, we would need to bukcet the columns into few groups.
With a expansion sign when we have multiple tables in Fields pane, some thing similar should help.
Just a logical grouping, no hierarchial relation exisits between columns.
Any leads much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi @manalla,
How about adding a custom SQL statement like below?
select col1, col2, col3, col4 from tableA union all select col1, col5, col6, col7 from tableB union all select ... ...etc.
How to group the columns?
Best Regards,
Dale
This way Its multiple queries being fired on database. Atleast 10 groups are requested on 250+ columns in my case.
Ideally why should we go hit database for the same FROM Clause multiple times?
I feel there should be some control at modelling tab in Power BI to bucket columns in to groups. Do we have anything like this in Power BI desktop now?
Thanks!
