Azure Service refresh and download to Desktop

Hi all,

We have noticed if a PBIx is refreshed in Azure Service and that same file is downloaded to the desktop the dataset is from the original upload date.  Is there a way to get the PBIx file with current data?  It's more efficient for developers to refresh in the service and all be working off of the same dataset on their desktops.

Advice or anything that helps my understand would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

@DGuillory , for that it is better to separate out the dataset and visual file. Using a live connection with Dataset.

In case you are PPU or premium custom you should use deployment pipelines to keep min data in file.

If a dataset is refreshed after it has been moved to service. If you download the dataset, it should have new data.
