Hello,
I am a DAX newbie and I cannot seem to get something to work properly, though I suspect I'm making it harder that it should be. I'm trying to create an average of wave percentages in a matrix instead of adding across and using the total percent.
Here is the data I'm using:
Rating | Wave 1 | Wave 2 | Wave 3 | Wave 4 |
Base | 148 | 169 | 199 | 146 |
Very likely | 24.32% | 17.16% | 28.64% | 15.07% |
I'm trying to create a DAX formula that adds the percentages for each wave and divides by the number of waves. The result for the above would be 21.3%.
Can this be done?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hi@ tholschuh
You can change the type of aggregation of filed Very likely to Average

Hello Lin,
Thanks for your reply. I will see if I can use this somehow. I know the 'average' exists, but I need to average the percentages, not numbers so I think there may be more DAX work needed like creating a measure that potentially converts percentages to numbers and using that instead.

hi,@tholschuh
you can use AVERAGE / AVERAGEX Function to create a measure like below:
measure = CALCULATE(AVERAGE(Table1[like]))
then selected the filed and change the Format:
