Automatically Transforming Excel Data

Hi All,

Apoligies if this is a silly question but I've been unable to find an appropriate answer from my research so far.

I have a requirement to create multiple PBI reports from data extracted from Jira Cloud.

Once created, these reports will act as a template, and the data will be refreshed manually based on weekly, monthly, yearly changes.

The Excel data first needs to be transformed, but my question is, is there a way to automate the steps I've taken to do this?

It doesn't take too much time at the moment, but as I create new reports, this will quickly become time consuming.

In summary, my workflow would ideally look like:

Data exported from Jira > New columns and formulas automatically applied > Excel file imported into PBI template.

Thank you in advance,

D

@Anonymous , if you can create transformation and a new column in power bi, it should get automated.

Power query is same in both excel and power bi

Thanks for your reply!

I've taken a look and this looks like it will do exactly what I require.

Thanks again!
