Hi
I would love to create a chart looking like this:
Product mix columns over time (different colors are different products):
When I try it in Power Bi, however, I am unable to split it by group:
When I do it, it simply won't stick.
The measures are sums of the values by year.
Axis is are the years from the date table.
The one I am trying to drag to color saturation is groupings of different item names.
This method works fine when I use only one measure in the Value box.
Why is this happening?
Is "sum of product 2018" a measure?
If "sum of product 2018" and "sum of product 2017" are columns from original table, then we can transform the table structure to the following one, then we could plot the visual as you like.
Best Regards
Maggie
Assume my data table is like this, then i drag columns to the proper fields as below.
How do your dataset structure?
Best Regards
Maggie
The blurred out section is product groups (String type)
The reason for structuring it like this is because I need a budget value for 2018 as well which will appear in another column.
try putting it in Legend instead of Color saturation
color saturation expects numeric value, that would provide more intense color the higher the values is
