This is a report developed for the City of Casey on the 2016 Australia wide Census.
This report had so many pages it was impossible to navigagte effectively, using bookmarks has made it simliar to navigating a website and has encourged engagement from my stakeholders. The use of a content page at the start means user dont need to flick past 26 pages to get the the page they want to see!

Hi wdean, awesome report - I'm currently trying to design something similar however related to where people were surveyed on Census night (caravan parks/housng estates mostly) then linked with states, income, rent, internet access etc. I am struggling to create a relationship so I can link all queries with a common theme of state, year, (want to do 2011 & 06) dwelling type.
How did you create these relationships? I see you have it by suburb as the main one and main others.
Any help appreciated!
Hi hughfitz,
You are correct, I just exported the data by suburb. Id assume you would just extract the data and concatenate a key of state, year, and dwelling type (state&year&dwelling). if that makes sense?
Cheers,
Yeah I had a go at that but it was a bit tougher - so I ended up doing it by postcode which worked a treat. building it up as we speak! thanks for sharing the City of Casey one - i've taken a lot of Dax coding from it!!
No problems. Feel free to connect on LinkedIn, great to see what others are doing with the Census data.
