I am writing dax to find the previous month MTD based on the filter selected in the date
example
if I select date Aug 20 2021 in the excel data filter I need mtd for last month(jul1 2021 to jul20 2021)
I tried a few dax but was unable to get (i am get data correct if all selected all dates)
pmtd = TOTALMTD(SUM(Bets[TURNOVER_SPORTS]),PREVIOUSMONTH('Date'[calendar_date]))
PMTD2 = CALCULATE (
SUM ( 'Bets'[TURNOVER_SPORTS] ),
DATEADD (
FILTER ( DATESMTD ( 'Date'[Date] ), 'Date'[Date] <=MAX('Date'[Date])),
-1,
MONTH
)
)
Can you please help to get this
Hi,
Obviously this could be improved upon by incorporating Time Intelligence functions, though as a start this should work:
PMTD =
CALCULATE (
SUM ( 'Bets'[TURNOVER_SPORTS] ),
FILTER (
ALL ( 'Date' ),
'Date'[Date]
>= EOMONTH ( MIN ( 'Date'[Date] ), -2 ) + 1
&& 'Date'[Date] <= EDATE ( MIN ( 'Date'[Date] ), -1 )
)
)
Regards
