I have a column with information that I would like to add, but these numbers have letters and I am not able to convert. Does anyone have a solution please?
Following data, (B) indicating billions and (M) indicating millions.

@EvandoGaspar you can create this calculated column:
Column = LEFT('Table'[Column1], LEN('Table'[Column1])-1) * if(RIGHT('Table'[Column1],1)="B",1000000000, if(RIGHT('Table'[Column1],1)="M",1000000))
Then you could sum these as numbers.
