Hello,
In my company we have many branches some use Power BI and others use Microstrategy for reporting.
In order to have a single data model across all entities, I wanna know if it's possible to share Power BI datasets with other BI tools like Microstrategy?
The objectif is to have a single model and not replicate the same one twice or have teams work here and there.
PS: it is out of question to drop one tool and use only one
PS2: If sharing the dataset is not possible, what would you do instead?
Thank you in advance

Hi @Ad_K ,
This question, I have asked myself a couple of times, too. You can definitely query a Power BI semantic model from other tools. I.e. there is the ExecuteQuery API. Further, here, a way on how to do combine Tableau and Power BI via OLADB driver and XMLA endpoint. I reckon this could be a similar setup for Microstrategy. Lastly, with the Python Library Sempy you can also query a semantic model.
Hope this helps (at least a bit) 🙂
